Thanks to the support of the Miguel Hernandez University, we are proud to have the honor of being the first Chair of Reproductive Health created in Europe.

From its origins, Instituto Bernabeu develops not only medical care activity, but also academic and investigative, maintaining different agreements with several universities: Alicante, Elche, Murcia, Valencia, Barcelona; as well as the realization of doctoral thesis and internships programs as a pre and postgraduate. It is recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education as an educational center of Assisted Reproduction Techniques for specialists in gynecology and obstetrics, having passed through our center several generations of resident doctors medical interns.

The creation of the Chair of Reproductive Health was made with the ambition of coordinating and centralizing all these aspects in only one structure.

The purposes of the chair of Reproductive Health are:

Investigative

Realization of individual and collective investigation works.

Elaboration of thesis and dissertations.

Publication of thesis and recognized scientific quality investigation works.

Development of I+D+I projects in relation with the thematic content of the Chair.

Recruitment of investigation personnel for the design and guidance of observation and experimental works related with the described areas.

Academic

Organization of courses, seminaries and conferences.

Realization of Postgraduate studies, masters and PhD’s on national and international universities.

Personnel recruitment for the organization of training courses, as well as scientific and public disclosure activities related with the thematic areas previously described.

The Reproductive Medicine Chair is directed by Rafael Bernabeu Pérez, MD, and Professor Jesús Romero Maroto, MD, Chair of the Urology Department at Miguel Hernandez University, and it is managed by a commission formed by members of the medical department of Instituto Bernabeu, Miguel Hernandez University and the vice-dean of technological investigation and development, Professor Salvador Viniegra.
